Midterm Election, November 3, 2026: Come Ride the Blue Wave

Call the November 3 election what you want- a blue wave, a blue tsunami, or a blue landslide- the results show a significant realignment of the government. Democratic representation in Congress increased from four seats to at least six.  Democrats will keep statewide offices. Nationally, the Democrats will control both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

In Clear Creek County, Democratic candidates won two of the three county offices.  As of November 7, the race for the Clear Creek Clerk and Recorder is too close to call.

The Clear Creek Democrats began working for victories in the November 3 election back in January.  Over the year, our neighbors and the party built a financial war chest to support local candidates, marched with the No Kings groups, gathered each month to protest ICE, distributed literature, and reached out to voters in every corner of the county.

Everyone’s efforts helped make Colorado more Democratic than it was before the election.  The fruits of this labor will change our nation's path back to what it should be, a nation of equal opportunity for all.

We have reason to celebrate the victories of the November election, but work remains.  The Trump administration has two years left; Democratic representatives and senators must pass effective legislation, and the Democratic Party must nominate a presidential candidate.

The Clear Creek Democrats have benefited from the input and work of those who choose to live in Clear Creek County.  Our success depends on the participation of those compelled to make a difference.  Does this describe you? Come join us.  Come ride the Blue Wave.
