No Kings in Idaho Springs

ree

The Clear Creek County Democratic Party hosted the No Kings demonstration and march on October 18. Estimates of the crowd size vary; the Clear Creek Democrats counted 175 people on the bridge. Colorado Public Radio reported that "nearly 200" people marched from the Highway 103 Bridge to the Idaho Springs Town Hall. See Colorado Public Radio's reporting here, scroll down to the section on Idaho Springs.

Whatever the actual count, the turnout for the October 18 march was more than twice that of the first No King's march on June 14.

The video captures the marchers' sentiment as they marched from the Highway 103 bridge to City Hall.

The No Kings movement continues. From the No Kings website:

"On October 18, more than 7 million of us rose up at more than 2,700 events in all 50 states, DC, and cities worldwide to say: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people. Join us on October 21st at 8 PM ET (6:00 PM MT) to talk about what comes next."
